Brent Ernest Bradley

August 12, 1958 - April 8, 2013

Brent passed away peacefully on April 8, 2013 with his family by his side. Brent was born in Trail BC, August 12, 1958 to Jeannette & Ernie Bradley. Brent was predeceased by his father in 2004, his mother in 2011, & brother-in-law Elmer Olson in 2011. He is survived by his brother Morley Ballard (Georgina), sister Amber Olson, and extended family, Darren, and Francine Ballard, Cindy Marceau.

He is also survived by his beloved grand nieces and friends Deanie Ballard, Dara Woytos (Spencer), Jessica Marceau and grand nephews Gavin Ballard, and little Damian. Brent had many friends and acquaintances during his life, and will be missed by all, especially Dixon his roommate, and pet cat.

Brent was an avid sports fan; he spent many hours watching any and all sports activities on the tube.

Brent was seriously injured in a diving mishap in 1977, which rendered him a quadriplegic. This did not stop him from being outgoing and as independent as he could be, for the most part he displayed his inherent good humor. In spite of all that he has been through he still had faith in the promise that is found in the Bible, at Isaiah 35:5-6.

The family would like to thank all the home support workers, and friend Blair Coombs who made it possible for him to stay at home, also we thank all the workers in (ICU) who took such loving care of Brent during his stay in the hospital.

Brent has requested that there be no service, however if so desired, donations can be made to the Canadian Paraplegic Society at 780 SW Marine Drive, Vancouver BC V6P 5Y7.

From: Gary Menzies
Relation: i met brent at Shaughnessy Hospital

I just found out that Brent passed away. 🙁 I’m glad to hear he went peacefully. Brent and i both got injured about the same time and went through rehab together. we became good friends but unfortunately lost touch when he moved from Vancouver back to Trail. I have such fond memories of our time together, his wit and humor always made me laugh. He cherished the simple things in life, like a meal of roast ham and all the fixin’s. The way he accepted his disability was truly amazing. It wasn’t easy for Brent but he persevered, kept his head held high and accomplished alot. And how could anyone not love those long eyelashes. 🙂 Brent I hope you have found peace. I miss you Bro. I will always cherish the memories I have of you. Gary
