Margaret Jeanette (Jan) Munger
Born to Joseph and Martha Straughan on April 5, 1921 in Parkland, Alberta, Jan passed away on September 11, 2011 in Nakusp, British Columbia. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Donald and Rex Straughan and sister Frances Schaeffer, and her son, Harrison Munger III. She is survived by her daughter Joella (Bradley) Kirschner of Seattle, Washington, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Jan’s generous spirit and quick wit garnered her many friends over her 90 years. She loved her community here in the Arrows Lake area of British Columbia. She loved singing with the Lakeside Singers, walking along the lake, and as an avid reader, volunteering at the Nakusp Library.
